FAQs and printing tips

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the standard print area size? 13" X 17" .

What is your turnaround time? Typical turnaround time is 10 business days + shipping time. Turnaround time is only an estimate, is not guaranteed and starts when your order is paid for AND we have all information to complete your job.

Do you have a minimum? We will do an order as small as 12 shirts per design but screen printing is designed for longer print runs and the price becomes more attractive with higher quantities. We recommend printing at least 50 for best pricing. Additional colors in your design will increase the price as well.

How long does screen printing last on a shirt? The water-based inks we use are very durable and will last for years since they dye the fabric. We recommend machine-washing your screen printed shirts inside out in cold water and tumble dry low (unless the garment tag calls for a different drying procedure).

Will a 72 PPI image work? Higher the resolution, better the output will be. We strongly recommend use of vector or 300 PPI images (Note: if using vector images, please makes sure all text is converted to outlines).

What payments methods do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, personal checks or cash.

Can I mix and match shirt and ink colors? Yes. Utilizing different shirts are fine as the long as your design uses the same ink colors. You must order at least 12 of each shirt color. If we need to change ink colors additional fees may apply.

Can I mix shirt sizes and do I need to order in dozens? You can order as many different shirt sizes as you want and you DON'T need to order in dozens, unless otherwise stated. Some brands of clothing do require order in larger quantities.

What type of ink do you use? We specialize in water-based and discharge inks that are eco-friendly. Water-based inks are softer prints on the shirt because they dye the actual garment vs sitting on top. Plastisol inks is what most screen printers use because it is easier to work with but is composed of plastics which crack and are less eco-friendly.

I want to print on my own shirts I have is that possible? Of course! We are able to work with the garments you have and give you a quote for just printing your design without the garment included.

Do I need to pay for my shirts now? Yes. Your payment must be received before your order is printed.

Can you do custom apparel finishing like printed tags, hang tags, bagging and more? Yes. We are able to handle every step of the process and allow you to focus on what's essential to your company or project.

Are your shirts pretty good quality? Yes! We use thick 5.3 oz 100% cotton or soft 50/50 heather tees as our standards. Hoodies are 8.5 oz Independent Trading Co. - very warm, soft and stylish! We don't use budget tees and hoodies unless you request them.

Can you do all over printing? Not at this time.

Ink color looks slightly different than what it looked like on the computer screen proof. We do not guarantee color matching. Closest color of ink is always used. If you have an exact color of ink you want to use please let us know (brand/model/PMS Color (additional costs).

I want a different brand of shirt than what you generally use, can you get them? No problem, just let us know what brand and we will work with you to get it. Any cost differences will be adjusted to the pricing on our site and in our sales.
